Bet they didn't bung it into access height to back out, would save more damage to the roof box.

Ouch, been there, done that with a RR plus ski rack in a underground filling station in Paris, I had to reverse 100 metre to get out.It can when others can't,

I've done it too! I destroyed my 400litre roof box. My first thought was "why is it raining shards of plastic"?

I hit the dangley things on the run up to the Euro tunnel but managed to get in the train without bother and that was without a roof box !

Also done the same with a vauxhall vectra , mountain bike on the roof and a IKEA car park.

pretty much permanently have a roof box on the disco but still written off two roof boxes like this MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

In my area most beach car parks and any other car parks have the barriers up I always have my vhf/uhf ham aerial on one side of roof bars but occasionally have the larger HF mobile on opposite side roof bar, and yes I've nearly destroyed them. Now I have crocodile clip on dash with Antennas on to remind me. Councils here have thing about Motorhomes and car parks!
