Sore knees

Now behave yourselves!

It should actually read sore knee. My driving position (with me being 6'5"), with the seat at its lowest, puts the outside part of my right knee in contact with the drivers inside door handle. It was the same in my D2, but in the D3 the handle is hard plastic, I must have found a nerve, as after just a few miles, my knee feels sore on the outside. My current fix is peice of pipe insulation round the handle.

Am I alone on this one?

My missus (bless her), being extremely handy with something called a sewing machine, has offered to make a padded "grip" thing to go around the hard plastic, so....where can I get some of the ebony seat cloth from so that these match the interior correctly?

cheers
Alan

Sore knee padding.

I needed (sorry about the pun) some grey leathercloth some years ago to make a cushion for my back. You probably only need an off cut. Question Try Exmoor Trim or any other seat refurbishing company.

I have logged an EPQR about the seat comfort (or lack of it), along with the sinking seat, although at the moment, I've got it as low as it will go in an attempt to get comfy.
