All sorts of lights flashing and problems...
Well,
A 2006 S TDV6 Auto with 25k, owned from new.
It started with all the dashboard warning lights coming on, yellow. It listed through the faults, HDC, Park Brake, transmission failure limited gears and an F in the gear change display. It then said lowering suspension. The it was slow as hell and a bit bumpy as we limped home. I put it into park on the drive and foot on the brake and turned it off. This morning all was fine.
Drove it this morning all was fine except airbag light is on and the F in the gear change indicator and limited gears.!
This evening drove it and except the airbag light everything was back to normal and after about 10 minutes, ding dong and all starts again!
The only difference seems to be I have the headlights on!
I've also noticed the last couple of weeks that sometime it sticks in gear. Like I'm thrashing it when I'm not, so it holds the gears right up to the red line. Slick it into manual change and use it for a minute or two then back into auto and all is well again!
Who know's and praise the Lord I took out a warranty!
Any ideas?

You don't have a blown tail light or haven't changed one have you? They can induce electronic hissyfit!

Mine did the same after i connected a new ecu to the CAN bus before I activated it; everything started to blink like an xmas tree, and going pling-pling-pling with the ignition on. I just disconnected the battery a few minutes to reset everything. And afterwards the car was behaving normal again.

Yes I have changed a bulb a couple of weeks back. I've noticed the brake tail light bulbs don't work when the head lights but are fine when the headlights are off!
The high brake light comes on and the lower set of side lights come on when I switch the headlights on and the brake lights don't work at all.
Turn off the headlights and everything seems to work normally but the brake lights seem a bit dull!

I had the exact thing with the headlights on/off scenario causing issues when I braked . Turned out to be an incorrect wattage brake light bulb

Could be, often it's filaments touching each other. Might be worth getting a couple of LR bulbs. All this is assuming it is the bulbs.

Some cheap bulbs can have that affect. Might seem excessive, but get some from LR as they're better quality and should have a stable resistance value.Bodsys Brake Bible
