I have the hoffman ones too, but 30mm per axle or 1.5cm per wheel. This is enough for snow chains on the front, also they are hub centric and not too wide, so no vibration at speed. A smaller width loads the wheel bearings less. Matzker fits this width to his modified LR vehicles.
There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Just check with your insurance before you consider it.

I needed some for some FFRR 2010 wheels I was going to fit, but the insurance didn't want to know! Was told if I wanted to fit 'em I would have to change insurance companies! Big Cry

Try the seven spoke FFRR in 19", they look good and I find the ride better on 19" Rolling Eyes

I'm running 3mm universal spacers bought from Halfords of all places (Rip-speed).

Not hub-centric, but fit very snugly on the hub (at the maximum pcd) with more than enough thread on the studs available.

Zero vibration

Just a question as I was thinking about putting some small-ish spacers on mine, but why did you put 3mm spacers on?

It seems to be such a small amount that I don't know how much it could improve handling or really even be noticeable to widen the track.

No offence intended, but I'm just not sure what 3mm spacers help with? Thumbs Up

Paul, 3mm just gives you that little bit of extra clearance for his 20" vspokes.
What you need is the 20 to 30mm spacers that will give you the extra track width and slightly higher stability that I think you're looking for. Thumbs Up

Ahh...that explains it....thanks Ian Thumbs Up

I had been thinking of putting some 5-10mm spacers to widen the track slightly, but was in no real rush so I've not investigated properly.

Cheers,
Paul

As Bodsy said Thumbs Up

Watch for inner arches fouling, mine just touch on full lock, any more and you'd need to trim the inner arch

Just a thought.. but how do the standard bolt lug lengths cope with 20mm or 30mm spacers??
ie wouldn't you need longer studs?

(apologies if it's been covered before...)
What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

the 20-30mm spacers have their own studs on them, so the spacers tighten on the hub with the std studs and the wheel goes on the spacers studs. Thumbs Up
