| Spare wheel protection pad |
|
Been fiddling with the spare wheel this aft, whilst I was flicking through the 'Wheel changing' pages, it mentions about a 'spare wheel protection pad'.
Our Disco doesn't appear to have one so I duly rang up the dealer.
They said that it must have been deleted from the final build and not omitted from the manual.
Any thoughts?

Interesting... when I had the spare put on the car I noticed that the rubber was indented by what I assume are rubber bumps inside the spare carrier... looks like there are 3-4 big dents in the tyre

Bumper marks were on our spare too. When you look underneath the car with the spare out, on the left hand side there is a grey box with wires coming out of it. It looks quite vulnerable but wasn't dirty at all.

Not surprising its clean... it amazes me how clean the spare stays considering how the D3's behind attracts dirt !
