Spare wheel saver protection plate
Having had my spare wheel stolen on 2013 model, I bought the new winch with anti theft built in. I have just bought the above which is a flat plate, a separate bracket, a spring, and a cable clamp. Does anyone know how to fit this plate to the spare wheel please.?

What make of spare wheel protector have you bought? A photo might be useful.
RLD spare wheel protector on ground, spare wheel on top shiny side up and attach winch cable. Winch into place.
Please note do not use winch without weight on cable.

Bought it from Land Rover. No idea how to attach it?
looks more like the "protector" from the later (ad-blue) cars ?.

Ray is brilliant & can't fault the product which I have had on my last 2 Discoveries.

RLD protector is better.
That LR product is for D3/4 so not for a D4 fitted with ad blue and will not work on the ad blue spare wheel.
The other bits are for the bottom of the winch cable. That plate will not protect end of winch cable.
Just had a quick search and only found ones which have been in storage and has marks on.
Would be tempted to return it for a refund and buy a proper one

but the OP looks like he has a 2013 model, so that wont have adblu, so that is the right LR plate, but its just not as secure as uncle Rays product as has already been said as it doenst protect the bottom of the winch cable.

Then I stand corrected... didn't realise LR did a protector. I had a bearmach version on D4 that was stolen... RLD version on current car and it's a better version..

With all the information on here, why do people buy interior products? I can already see how to nick the wheel despite the LR protector.
