Spare wheel security
Hello all,
I'm picking up my '64 plate Disco 4 HSE tomorrow. I'm excited and researching what to expect!
I'm reading about spare wheel theft; what is the consensus on anti theft options? I see different types of D4 spare wheel 'plates' on eBay. I've also seen an actual LR security item... looks like the normal winch and cable, so that's confusing.
Any tips and advice appreciated!

I've got one of the RLD plates from Ray fitted - decent, solid bit of kit and I would think works well. Hopefully I'll never find out!formerly Disco3Ben

Do you have adblue? Different from non-adblue cars but either pretty straight forward. I've got one on the MY11 D4, case of drip the spare, add Plate and wind back up. Simples.

Got the RLD spare wheel cover, now using a 'Disklok' when parked up the drive or for longer periods for when the keys are 'nearby'.
The keys are wrapped in three layers of tinfoil until Father Christmas brings me my 'Faraday' type pouch.....
Knowing my luck some 'canute' will spray me in the face with acid and demand my keys or burgle me doing the same ....
Now I'm thinking of CCTC and an alarm (the latter of which I had before on my previous home....) .... theres only so much one can do .... but being a belt and braces sort of chap (and ex 'old bill) maybe this is the next step .... AND I live in 'sleepy' Cornwall now!!...2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Thanks again. How do I go about ordering one?
I'm unsure which type wheel I have as picking her up tomorrow ... although, being a 64 plate; no adblue I believe.

I picked up my Ray spare wheel protector a few weeks ago, this was for my 65 plate D4:
Fits inside the wheel (When lowered) and took a few minutes to fit - You use two of the wheel nut holes to push through a couple of locks with pins

Not sure if your will be the same type though as your 64 plateIggy/Ieuan
