If space is tight rather than take hoses why not use amalgamating tape. Does a great job of fixing all rubber hoses and takes up a small corner of your toolbox.
Goodshout on the suspension airline fixing kit. Is it 5mm or 6mm pipe. Some stainless inline connectors can be had cheaply and a small length of pipe wouldn't be to expensive. Perhaps a breakers yard with a D3 in would be a good source for the pipe?
