Special programs off....over boost?

In this cold weather recently, the car will start fine, and within a minute, it generally comes up with special programmes off, stop then start fine again. Then it will do it again after 6 or 7 miles this morning.

Changed the fuel filter yesterday.

In view of this I cleared the memory yesterday, and today the following report on the engine

Engine TDV6

P0404-00 (2F) Exhaust gas recirculation control - circuit range/performance
P0578-00 (2C) Speed control multi-function input A circuit is stuck
P2288-00 (28) Injector control pressure too high
P0234-00 (68) Turbo/supercharger overboost condition

EGR valves have been blanked off.

Engine had a remap many years ago.

Any thoughts from anyone greatly appreciated as taking the car to the Alps in Feb.

Thanks all.

you can ignore the EGR one if blanked

you could try oiling the turbo actuator to see if that gets rid of the overboost one.

I was wondering if it might be this, the garage did this last year, so wonderingif it may have had it.

Might have to try it myself, what would you spray on it?

Well looked at the actuator arm and moving freely with ignition on and off etc. Then checked it manually and moving well, sprayed some WD40 on the part for good measure.

Took it for a test drive, 100 meters and Engine system fault no stalled, then after half a mile spl programs off....after that ran fine

Re-ran the IID, same messages......

Any more thoughts anybody

Thanks for your help so far

Edward.

Sounds like it probably needs a battery if it hasn't had one recently.

Get it charged one nite and see if it has no problems with the cold start to prove it

Pete, last battery 6 years ago, never had to charge it yet, could it be the reason for engine system fault?

Give it a charge and see if it helps.

An old battery will cause lots of lights/messages straight after start up.

Bit the bullet and new turbo fitted.

All codes gone.

Runs like she should do now.

Tignes, here we come!

Ouch! That must have hurt the wallet.
Good to see it has resolved your problem though.

Yes thanks, it's driving like a new car now. Think the turbo, has been on the way out for a year or so, been nursing it I think really.

Still if I'd have sold it and bought another one, I'd have spent more, and you've no idea what's really wrong with that one.

I had a potential turbo problem back in the summer and I may have to face a replacement in the near future. Do you mind me asking what the work set you back and was it done body off?
