United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Cairns BlueDiscovery 3
Specifcation Questions

Well I picked up my Discovery on Friday - and my new son from Hospital on Saturday.

The car is excellent - although for obvious reasons I have not been that far yet - spending time reading the manual instead.

For those considering ordering mine came with front parking sensors - a nice thing to discover.

One quick question - mine is an SE with optional rear air con, built about 16.12.05. Looking through the manual some appear to have automatic air re-circulation. Is this just one of the features that did not make production or does anyone else have this?

Auto recirculation works to speed up warming up the cabin, on my D3 it works that way on cold mornings until the cabin is up to temperature. Must admit I can't recall it always working that way (but I've not really looked for it before) but it definitely did this morning

Thanks BN

Slimer - does yours have a button with Auto on it then?

On my wife's Audi I think that this helps with warm up but also goes automatically goes to re-circulate when the outside air quality is poor - ie through a tunnel or behind a bus.

Yes, as does every D3 with climate control (all but the base models) I believe. recirc can be operated manually too. I don't think it's clever enough to detect if the outside air quality is poor, could be wrong though Confused The End

On my Omega, you had to "tell" it that it might be expecting bad air, ie, put the climate control in Auto Auto mode ???? It was one of those things that you never were really quite sure if it was working though.

On the upside, if there was a wish list for mods for the D3, the Omega had a nice feature in that when everything is switched off, and you were waiting to pick someone up in teh cold for example, you could push a button, and a fan would draw left over heat from somewhere into the cabin, until that to went cold..
..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........
