sports pedal upgrade question

Hi, I brought a metal sporty time pedal kit for the discovery 3 and 4 (same design and style as offical landrover ones) and when my garage was fitting they couldn't put the accelerator one on it didn't fit properly on my 61 plate discovery 4.

Any ideas on how I can make it fit or if there was a difference in accelerator pedal size in the discos?

My discovery has plastic accelerator pedal will drilling into it to fit a cover over it cause issues As my garage said it won't fit as the cover is designed for earlier models?

Sports Pedal Kit

I have fitted this set to my D4. Had them in my Jag and just wanted to continue the idea. The accelerator pedal will fit but it must be centralised before the nuts are tightened. Powerful UK have a video which takes you through it really well.
