[img][/img]I've discovered a Great product for cleaning tough stains out of Gelcoat on caravans and boats. I've got a caravan and a Yacht, both had stained Gelcoat, however the boat was really bad.
A couple of Old Boys told me about a product called Y10, I bought a tub, applied it to a poor area of stained Gelcoat and waited the recommended ten minutes before rinsing off, I could not believe the difference, and no effort required. Apparently the Y10 causes a chemical reaction and it's amazing.

Yes it's brilliant stuff. I've used it for many years on a white yacht hull after it stains yellow especially along the waterline after a season on the water. Effortless removal of the stain.
The same effect can be achieved with a caustic soda water solution.

I use a similar product called instant hull cleaner and it works a treat wipe on rinse off
Gel coat is very porus so the muck gets in and has to be removed chemically you cannot just keep scrubbing as it will not come clean Club original turbo

The Boat is an Achilles 24, tri keel. A nice slim boat, stable. She now has a shines brilliant white hull. It looks the business.
It's good to know there are boaties out there.
