This may sound mad but.......did you have a roof box/surf board or anything else on the roof? Did it rain hard at all?

Nothing on the roof, car boot crammed to the max with surfing gear and holiday stuff.

This something to do with the classic LR designed leaking sunroofs ? Smile

Quick update

I performed the hard reset exactly as per the wiki page referred to a few posts ago.

Worked perfectly, apart from a tense few minutes when I couldn't lock the car as I'd not shut the bonnet firmly enough and for some reason the "bonnet open error" does not appear until you start driving.

Shut the bonnet properly and normal keyless and keyfob service has been resumed. Will check tomorrow to make sure it's a permanent fix.

Thanks for all the advice fellas, much appreciated.

(still doesn't feel right doing a hard reboot to a £20k 4x4, but it does work)

Kind of, the KVM is located in front of the RSE module and to the left of the AMP in the rear right boot panel. There are some recorded issues of water ingress into all of these modules and causing circuit board damage. Using the key under the steering column bypass’ the KVM and feeds straight to the CJB allowing the engine to start. So if yours starts in this method, it suggests that KVM, it’s wiring or antenna las aren’t working. I’ve not heard of an antenna failing and the wiring is pretty straight forward so it leaves the KVM. It could be worth checking it’s condition before looking else where.

Definitely worth taking the panel off and checking the wiring particularly if it occurs again as there have been reports of the cable being trapped on assembly Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
