Injectors could well be a cause. U able to get balance readings?

Mine started doing this - was like it for months. Never tracked it down. New fuel filter and air filter at the next service seemed to solve it!!!

No harm in trying as it is the cheapest option
Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

Worth a try but cleaning doesn’t do much for worn out injectors. My starting was transformed with “new” injectors.

Is it spinning over more slowly, or just taking a while to catch/fire?
Before you condemn anything, give it a tank of super or a reputable inj. Cleaner, and maybe charge the battery. The cleaners do wrk.
Injectors are not cheap, and a diagnosis from a few lines is just not possible. Get it plugged in and checked before spending.

At least in these temps knackered glow plugs can be ruled out, esp since the symptoms are very similar.

Said as non techie so could well be typing bolldocks. Whistle

Plugging it in might help, but if its an injector with excessive leak off you need to do a leak off test.

Was the starting issue there before it was serviced? always go back to the last thing you did.

Hi all
Bit of an update as I don’t drive MY DISCO very often
I’ve had to quiz the wife for more info
she say it starts ok during the day it’s first thing in the morning
Also she filled with shell v power and I drove it last night
Massive difference in power and response well impressed apart
From the price 150 a litre that’s shocking.

Anyway that’s my update

Thanks Dave

Not a great surprise, other than the price of the Shell V Power.

I filled up yesterday near Portsmouth @ 139.9 per litre.

You might try the app Waze which is helpful for navigation, and gives you fuel prices - there are of course alternatives.
