It was surely just for Artist effect because if Banksy wanted to destroy it, he could have used a crosscut shredder. Now that would have caused a stampede as there would have been a piece for everyone.
Brilliant idea and hats off to him. I think he does some wonderful works.

Well that doesn’t add up as either has power connected or a remarkable ‘for life’ battery pack
And that’s before knowing EXACTLY when and where being sold (ok, maybe not that hard), access to trigger it, etc. etc. etc. (The bloke claimed, but not proven, to be Banksy was, allegedly, in the room)
