Steering sensor? SOLVED

Have problems when steering left or right. ABS/TC/DSC starts braking like when doing HDC.

With IID have initialized steering sensor No difference.
Have initialized ABS yolk. No difference.
When when pushing DSC off. It seems to be OK. Until braking then brake and DSC light goes yellow.

Have looked at live values on IID. Steering angle sensor have voltage, but 0 angle indication.

Is there something to do?
Can the sensor be faulty?

Sleeve loose!
Is it possible to buy a new sleeve?

The steering angle sensor may have come away from the column, if you take the sound deadening away from above the pedals you will see the sensor on the lower column. It has a greenish plastic centre. If you get someone to turn the steering wheel while looking the centre should turn as the shaft does. Of it does not then it’s come free. I fixed mine with some adhesive, there’s a few threads relating to it. Once the adhesive has dried you will have to centre the wheels and recalibrate the sensor with an iid or similar.

I had mine come loose on a previous D3 , the garage put a spot of weld on the column, to make it tight on the shaft again.

I wondered if your information display shows the correct position of your front wheels. One would think that if the sleeve is loose, this display should always show the wheels as straight ahead? Or does this source its info from another sensor?

Mine showns the correct position last time I checked, but I also have DSC problems when going through bends. And it seems to have gotten worse over the past three years as it now does it even at moderate speeds, although it is getting wetter and colder of course.

I have had it with 3 different sets of tires, all bought new as a set of four, 3 different brands, 1 18", 2 19".
