Steering wheel panel -Help please

Could anyone tell me how to remove the large panel below the steering wheel please so I can get to the brake light switch.
I managed to do it on a D3 but despite my best efforts I can't remove a D4 one and I'm worried about breaking me or the panel.

Pull the top down towards the seat, there is clip either side. The bottom then lifts out
