Stereo cutting out intermitently & HDC Warning Message
I wonder if anybody has had a problem their stereo cutting out intermitently. I've also been get a warning message telling me that there is "HDC fault system not available" when I start the engine, but not always. The dashboard illumination also seems to be flickering slightly.
looks like it will have to go in to the garage, just wondered if it was something simple or at least had the heads up before it goes in!!!
get your battery checked out....
One of the battery death signs is the HDC warning message....

Agreed, HDC is defiantly low battery voltage on cranking, stereo?? I'd check the the main negative connection sounds like somethings loose, that could explain the flickering dash as well........but hey what do I know.. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

Thanks, this might sound like a stupid question but I'm no good at engines . electrics etc, is checking the main negative easy to do or is it something for the garage to sort!

Had same messages with 06MY D3, HDC failure, no spec progs etc. Put new battery in (well to be accurate TFC did!) on Saturday and no issues. New bat with 3 year warranty £105 from dealers with Alligance discount. Job's a good un!

Solves most problems Del..
Regarding the earthing, I've had a dig back through some posts & from what I can find the main neutral connection is located at the base of the A frame in the passenger foot well. Try checking the tightness of this as it can course all sorts of problems including the ones your experiencing..give it a go.. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker
