Had my car in for its annual (first) service yesterday.
I asked for the software to be updated (cited air-con/heating issues and a flat spot when moving from stand-still as reasons to do the upgrade). The upgrade was duly done and I was told this morning when I picked the car up that Version 14 had been installed.
Is this what will be installed at the re-call I wonder?? MG

What about vehicles that are in production? Do they get the upgrade during production or at the dealers during PDI?
My D3 is due to built this week and expected at the dealers mid June.
Perma-grin!!!

The software isn't any different; the deal is that instead of the owner having to plead with the dealer to install the updates, this will be done for all flashable ECUs by default.
If you've got WDS 13.4 installed, there isn't anything new for you.
The ability to check software levels has been available for a while now - the difference this time is that the computer decides whether you need the update, not the bloke pressing the keys on the T4.
WDS is on the way out, and is being replaced with the DVD based system. This may sound like a step forward, but consider also that the DVD system covers not only all LR models, but Jaguars too. Heaven knows what you may end up with as a result..............

Wonder if it will include upgrades for newer PTI phones such as the 6230i? This may eliminate the need for the 1hour download I was quoted for. 2008.5 D3 HSE, Stornoway, Ebony

Hope they do this here in Aus.
My Dealer keeps telling me that the "features" I have aren't software based (Gee, what is it with me and dealer bagging lately?).
So, with that he refuses to tie up his T4.
I think I am still running software from 2004 on my D3.

I am now in the same situation and would really like to know the answer to your question as well. Any of you insiders or gurus know the answer?
