STOP PRESS I think UPDATE

1) The " software upgrades" will start on 5th June. Very Happy
2) It will not be called a "recall" Twisted Evil
3) It is a totally new software package 8)
4) You will not get a letter (or you should not) but a nice cosy call from your dealer Wink
5) It will covere about 43K vehicles Shocked
6) My original and replacement D3's were PDI'd properly so I am told Crying or Very sad
7) It is about a three man hour job on each vehicle. Rolling Eyes
8) I imagine if you have a Turbo Chip you would ask to be excused from the upgrade Evil or Very Mad
Alive and kicking..who's round is it anyway ??

Will the upgrade also cover those previously done only 'on customer complaint'? or do those issues still have to be specifically highlighted Confused

No way I am having the update.

After a number of faults and the 6 hours it took to get auto door locking selected (due to problems reuploading the software).

At present I average 31.5mpg on 40mile round trips to work and back with both cross country and town driving.

Everything now seems to be working (touch wood). If its not broken don't fix it.

Unless I have further problems I will leave well alone, I will be telling the dealer that if contacted.

Had a thought (no really!)

It would be a good time to buy all those little extras which would normally require 'configuring' in Testbook, such as cruise control, towbar electrics etc.

Then when they don't work with the new software, get the dealer to sort out as part of the software load.

If I understood correctly, someone bought the cruise control buttons which were easy to fit (see the recent thread on steering wheel controls for stereo) - but were an absolute bu@ger to configure by the dealer in testbook.

And the six million dollar question - will the settings menu be available in base cars after this new loadset?

Worth a try?
