Storage

Having come to a D3 from an Audi A4 Avant, I'm finding storage a bit of a problem. The D3 may have a bigger boot than most things on the road, but where are you supposed to store long of flat items. The Audi had a false/lift up boot floor, that was great for golf umbrellas, maps, warning triangles etc., but the D3 only has the two small cubby boxes below the side windows, and the ones where the toolkit / towbar go. Most of my gubbins has nowhere to live. What do other people do?

I used to fill the bins in my D2 with stuff I never used for 3 years, the D3 has made me more of a minimalist Laughing

How about the gap under the folded rear seats (ie the footwell to the 3rd row).
This can be accessed by tilting the mid row & lifting the 3rd row base.

On mine this normally hides a pair of site boots, a raincoat & a few dustsheets etc.

Obviously need removing when 3rd row in use.

This leaves the boot free for kids bikes, helmets, surf boards tents ... ... ...

Agreed, a very useful, little used place - stops those useful things that you want to carry from rolling around the boot.

Found that particular cubby hole very useful on our family hols. Room for many odds and sods, some boots and my Flexifoil kite.

I was browsing through the Accessory fitting instructions on the LR GTR site, when I found reference to the correct place to put a warning triangle. It fits under (behind) the rear seats. One Velcro tie wrap later - job done.
