Steve can correct me if I’m wrong, but in a nutshell, the front right wiring to the sensor had become slightly corroded, so it was replaced (other wires we’re checked), rear left sensor height reading had been inputted incorrectly, so that was corrected and finally all sensors were replaced as a precaution (not very expensive).

I think these were the main items…

I haven't seen you out and about in Darlington in your dragster Laughing

Do you have your D3 sticker yet Whistle

You mentioned independents during the course of your suspension woes - did you try Les Potts in Sunderland?
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile

No fault codes stored.
The height was too high on the rear LH, & the front RH would sometimes drop an inch when you shut the door.
Well, the sensor values looked stable, even when test driving. We looked at the wiring & there was some corrosion in the front LH wheel arch (on the RH sensor wires), which was repaired, cleaned & then covered with a mudlfap to stop the dirt/salt getting on it again.
As a precaution & knowing the hassle involved (let alone the diesel!! Wink )if the job wasn't fixed first time we put on a set of height sensors, as they are cheap enough not to take the chance of an intermittant fault.
When we tried recalibration it wouldn't accept the first set of height figures, (on the old, or new sensor) the reason being the rear RH voltage figure was too low, after an adjustment of the linkage to even the voltage figures, the calibration sailed through & everything was level. Next the software was checked & found out of date, so that was updated to the latest level.
So although a little time consuming, no real horror stories.

Regards
Steve

Hi Albourneboy,
Don’t have a D3 sticker yet.

I haven’t tried Les Potts, does he come recommended?

Cheers,
