D3 will be getting a 3 wk rest this summer, although have in the past, been to SW France a couple of years running with it, this year....... A few days in San Francisco, then on to Kauai, (Hawaii). Very Happy. My 20 yr old twins said they didn't want to holiday with Mum and Dad this year (1st time ever), bet they are regretting that now Laughing

Discotres - last year I did the parapetting off the mountain as that was on my bucket list and it's awesome. Sambu has a great all weather toboggan which is fun and it's cooler up there during the day. There's a good market in Annecy old town on virtually every morning but the biggest and best one is on Sunday morning. It's all about the lake and the wTer mainly and if you're going diving I'm guessing you be in it!

There is a great view of the lake and a nice restaurant at the top of col de forclaz and it's a great drive up too.

And of course the awesome ice cream shop by the river in the old town!

I stay at Le Lac Blu in Doussard right on the southern tip,of the lake and live it, been this will be our fifth year in a row.

moving to gladstone tomorrow at 06, to discharge 3000 tons of fuel.
after that, back to huskissons to discharge another 3800 tons..

whereabout are you ??

Regards
Jan, Nav Officer on M/T Bro Sincero...

Hi Jan,

What a small world! I'm about 20 miles away from the docks, on the other side of the water in fact. But I've spent most of the last week on the Huskisson Dock for the Oil company based there, inspecting vehicles for them. What a coincidence!

Regards
Pete

Thanks, we are staying at Camping International, first reason it was the only place available at the last minute, all others fully booked, and secondly and luckily it is only 200mtrs from the Dive Centre Thumbs Up

Only there for 4 days before heading south, it looks fun with a water park but will be out most of the time

Was having a lovely time up in Sutherland and Caithness then had to drive all the bloody way back to Notts because of the inflexibility of the company who supply some of my drugs (they are a bit important) who wouldn't delay their Censored delivery schedule!

Anyway, will be back in Durness by Thursday with my trusty D3 and Eriba Troll in tow for a week or so.

Then late Sep on an airyplane to the US for six weeks to continue the great tour (Year 3). This year it's Nevada, Utah, Idaho up to Montana......'Do ya want cheese with that?'
