Had mine done, waste of money. I'd had a car previously with autoglym lifeshine and it was much better, the car always had a good shine. Even the products you get with it are a bit naff.

Had both Supaguard and Diamonbrite. Personally would never waste my money on a dealer "addition" to your invoice. The mark-up is huge, even extortionate! Either go for a reputable mobile applicator or DIY. Agree with Mupperty that Autoglym is just as good if not better.

I may have posted this before

But my feelings on the specific product Supaguard is this its not worth it
I thought about doing my Disco when new & didnt.......I have used Meguairs 1/2/3 products with good effect

My XK came with Supaguard - which when I checked I did pay for.
The fault I find is that it did water mark.....clean car, dried off with clean soft terry towelling....
any drips of water (say from the door miirors the water trails left marks as did rain.....it didnt look all that shiny either

I got so Censored off with this I did the full meguairs 1/2/3 thing & now without the Supaguard the paint has a definate shine & it doesnt leave water trail marks.
My XK has a paint colour that is dark metallicy Red brown called "Caviar" - look awesome clean & polished....the carnuba wax hasnt stopped beading after six months washed (by hand) every week.

OK you pay & they do the work but I dont think Supaguard is worth what it costs.....DONT do leather with the leather care solution either....fatal mistake (for the leather) if you do.

£200 + buys a lot of Meguairs....or Autoglym...or even Swissvax
 BREXIT - done properly.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Any recommendations on leather treatment? - have used Autoglym lifeshine interior treatment which seemed to work but the problem is that unless you only do half of each seat there's not really any way to compare treated with untreated Shocked

Have a look here - www.lttsolutions.co.uk

Their stuff is not cheap but it is excellent at cleaning the leather and maintaining it in good condition. They are also very good at dealing with specific queries about leather upholstery in its different guises in different makes and models.

Cheers

Gliptone cleaner and conditioner is great - best stuff I've used on leather, doesnt gloss up like others - and quite cheap

Anyone else got experience of their Auto Protect range Question - sounds very good/specialised so tempted to use it on the seating & autoglym on the carpeting/plastic? Idea

If its leather upholstery

Connolly Hide treatment is probably the best - but a bit messy to use
The Meguaris & Autoglym products seem ok
My test was keeping seats on a 23 year old car looking like new

My disco seats look pretty good....using Meguairs

The Supaguard stuff is a sealant that stops the hide from taking on further treatment as well as partialy protecting from stains...they almos put this onto my Jag seats before I stopped them....big discussion that ended up a row where I had to point out I was the customer & therefore made the decision.
The bolshy sales manager kept telling me my car would be worth less if is wasnt done.......my point was whose to know
& I had to live with the end result not them.

Just did my D4 in Meguires Ultimate Liquid Wax. Its only new out.
Honestly the best car polish I've ever used, and easy to apply.

You do the whole car, then polish it off. They claim on the bottle that you can even do it in the sun......polish the car that is! Laughing

Did the inlaws car on the weekend. It hasn't been polished for over 2 years. Came up awesome.

No I don't work for Meguires.

Cheers, Craig

Ive Seen this...

Ultimate Liquid Wax on the shelf.....& must give it a go.
But aftre using the original 1 - 2 - 3 system they have I have to think is this going to be better.
The swirl remover does just what it says.....
The polish prepares the surface for the Carnuba.

I realise I could use the No1 Swirl remover if needed

I have used the Meguairs Ultimate compound on Horace the youngest daughters Morris Minor (1961) & it did a remarkable job of the paint. Also did a couple of scratches onthe XK did the same job removed the scratches & didnt remove any colour.

I havent as yet bought & tried anything of Meguairs & been dissapointed...first started using the 1/2/3 system in 1999 when in New Zealand...they didnt get Autoglym there & the other US stuff Mothers was more costly.

A friend of mine who owns a motor vehicle smash repair business says that the best thing that you can do to protect your motor vehicle is to give it a good shed (garage) to keep it out of the elements when not in use. He went on to say that that none of the motor vehicle paint suppliers mention a thing about having to remove 'paint protection' products before respraying repaired body panels. This says it all to him.

He also said that, in his professional opinion, (and it has been mentioned in this thread) that it is much better (and cheaper) to wash your vehicle and apply a good quality polish/wax at regular intervals.

Regards

Lou...
