Well just to say its worked!! Best £8 I ever spent. Will get a box flush asap tho

goeff when you say past the preventative stage do you mean I may have knackered something or that I willneesd a flush as opposed to dr tranny? I test drove it on same hills where it was most obvious before and nothing needle stayed perfect. Even used cuise up a really long hill where it was almost where you could feel it before and hear it before and again fine.

One other point if I get my box flushed weather you or someone else would you put 1 or two dr trannys in the new atf as a prevention? Thanks

normally if the fluid smells burnt then you've burnt the clutches , but the old fluid does have a funny smell to it so it may not be burnt its quite a distinctive smell and after approx 30 odd flushes haven't smelt any burnt as of yet Thumbs Up

and yes after i flush i put 1 tube of shudder guard in only 1 needed with new fluid Thumbs Up

I've blanked my egr valves today and cleaned my map sensor. It was gunked bad but not blocked. The engine performance had improved a lot more responsive and much smother but i can feel a bit of slip still. Especially if I put it in 6th at 60 mpg and accelerate to the floor. Revs fluctuate and you can feel it. I am going to change my gearbox filter and change the oil over the next week so I will put a post up of my results. And buy a dr tranny. How is yours when you hold it in 6th Shadrack from 60 full throttle. I will wait until next year for a mega flush whilst Xmas is coming. I do wish I bought a manual d3

Just come across this post as i'v got the same issue and I'm in norton, stockton on tees, I'm just about yo order some dr tranny now from advanced motors, is it easy enough to put in? I was hoping to get to Preston to get June done from Geoff but it's my daughters birthday, my friend at landrover does work on the side if you need anything doing, he's offered to to a double flush on mine, not as good as a mega flush but best I can get till Geoff is north again.

I'v seen it on his website, should I just order it from there or pm him? Is it easy enough to put in? I assume I just take the level plug out the box and put it in there? Should I do it once hot or when cold?
