Suspension dropped overnight - all around

New to here and new to owning a 55 plate Disco 3! Smile

Noticed this morning that the car looked low all round, when i got in the car the centre display for the Chassis view had a red flashing icon above each tyre (attached photo from manual online Red markers are the ones flashing red)

Also noticed that's the Gearbox status showed as being in 'N' and 'Low' (car was actually in High and 'P')
Front wheels were also angled on the display but were actually straight.

When i started the car, the suspension levelled itself, the display changed to showing as being in 'P' and 'Hi' and the wheel direction returned to straight.

Any suggestions on where to start looking? I'm going to pull fuse' F26' tonight after work and leave to see what happens over night. Any other recommendations

?

Thanks alot

Did you have the ignition on II and all the lights on ? Data isn’t sent to the display until you turn the ignition on fully

Yes remove the fuse and see what corners are down in the morning

No, this was just from unlocking and opening the car door when the display turns on. It was noticeable that the car was sat low.

Once i turned the car on (position 'II' then ignition) the car raised itself and the display returned to normal as described Smile

OK I'll ignore the display but curious where's it's got its information from to display all of the above issues as when I lock the car the night before everything was fine? why has the car dropped overnight? 🤔

Will remove fuse later and report back in the morning.

Thanks

1) it’s just displaying default data until the ignition is switched on.
You will notice when you turn the ignition to II the display suddenly changes to the correct values.

2) Yeap remove the fuse to see why it’s dropping.
It will either be

A) one corner (or the valve block) has an air leak and then the computer drops the other corners so the car remains level (but low). Common issue on this age car.

B) one height sensor has a fault and is confusing the computer. These are a head ache to diagnose.

If you haven’t got any diagnostic equipment an autel ap200 white version should be put on your wish list. Be needed for something (probably Not this though )

1) yes display changes to show correct information - but the suspension noticbly adjusted itself too.

2) will remove and report back.
A) just been looking as t the oring replacement kit, worth doing as a precaution/good maintenance for this age car? 🤔.
B) have found a full set of 4 sensors so if required then I'd just replace all 4 in one.

I have a basic code reader (it gives me codes and I can clear them) but nothing has shown up for codes 🤞

On a different note, the markers on the display that are next to the tyres on the inside edge. These are Amber on my car when in use. Should they be Amber or should they be green? 🤔 Noticed it today on drive to work.

Circled blue on the photo:

Thanks

If your code reader isn't showing any codes on a D3 its probably not working Rolling with laughter Seriously!
Generic code readers only tend to read engine codes.

The specific code readers will read all ECU's About 7 of them
Also there are usually 2 letters after the code which generic reads won't show.

At one time you could get the white autel for £45 which was a bargin.
Well its still a bargin at £65 or whatever.

Yes its worth changing the O rings for the front valve block. and side one
The rear valve block is very difficult to remove, so wouldn't rush and do that

I'll look to invest in the autel one you've mentioned and see but as far as I can tell my scanner is checking all of the cars ecu's etc.

Will invest in the seal kit as a general job then. Am I right in thinking to get to the rear, its accessed from the cubby hole on drivers side and also from under the car (drop spare tyre etc)? 🤔

Thanks for the video, will have a proper look later on but interesting to see how precise the display actually is in terms of position etc! From his video, I assume the Amber marks next to each tyre is normal? As he didn't actually discuss them being Amber 🤔

Valve blocks are all done from outside.
Through wheel arch and remove spare wheel. Whatever you find best.

Yeah red block is normal.
What is meant to be an error is the white Tyre things going red and flashing, but that isn’t unusual when lowered
