Suspension dropping overnight
Hi
I have recently bought a discovery 3 as a winter run around. The suspension drops overnight so to try and diagnose where the fault lies i got it to the correct height and disconnected the battery. Ive come on from work and the front end is down on both corners, rear has stayed put.
Is it going to be airbags or something else? Cant hear any hissing and when started it gets back to height in a second or two, same when changing to offroad or access heights
Thanks

Hi
I had a similar issue a little while ago, I am by no means an expert but I was of the opinion that it was the front valve block. However after hearing a hissing on the near side and after a lot of checking with a soapy water spray bottle I discovered the problem was the near side front airbag.
My understanding is the car will constantly try and level itself and with one bag leaking the only way mine could is to lower the other side.
My advice is to go low tech and spray each front element in turn with a soapy spray bottle and lower and raise the suspension a little to induce changes of pressure in the parts, the offending part should reward you with a bubble display….

If there is no air bag leak then a refurbishment of the front valve block should be done. "O" ring kits are available on the internet quite cheap. Front valve block is reasonably easy to get to.
