Suspension Failure update!
Suspension failed another couple of times since my premature posting that all was okay. Dealer says that it was a 'corroded wire' this time..... that means I have had a corroded wire, a corroded plug and two sensors replaced, front and rear.... all on a first reg vehicle August 1st 2006. When I asked the dealer a few questions today the service receptionist said " I can't answer that because I am not a technical person". I intend to follow up on this as three visits to the dealer and a call out of LRA isn't what I had hoped for at this stage.
The discovery replaced a Range Rover Vogue MY05 (the failed front diff saga) and I had hoped that I would have a better reliability experience with the Discovery. I guess I am unlucky. Lets hope they have fixed it!
Am I expecting too much or am I just picky? I still like it but have been thinking of looking at a Q7!!Discovery 3 Metropolis
TDV6
Java Black
Audi TT Roadster 225
Better take a sick bag with you then if you intend on looking for more than a few seconds, Audi are rivalling Porsche in the damn ugly 4x4 charts with that one!The End

You are not expecting too much, You are not picky, You are very unlucky.
Your dealer should have fixed this by now. Time for some exchanges of letters with your dealer cc Land Rover Customer relations.

The RR has apparently a 'few' diff failures It would seem that your particular dealer needs to look at developing their 'root cause' fault finding techniques...
Stick with it, it can only get better

I understand the RR has a front prop with no cv or uj joint! it is a direct drive straight shaft. The front diff has to be exactly aligned with the transfer box output, or the bearing gets stressed and BANG!
