Amazing work you've done.
What helped me most was identifying where the problem was, I always thought my leak was from the connectors themselves and not the plate being cracked!

My fix was slightly different. After removing and cleaning the cap (crack is visible from both ends), see:

I filled the inside with a small layer of 2 part quick set epoxy, see:

and the leak is gone and no more message after driving for a bit around.

While at it, I sifted the decadent and baked at oven till bluish and cleaned all parts of the dryer.

Hope someone else benefits from this.

I tried with epox glue at first but it failed later anyway.

This should be covered by warranty.

I have received a lot of PM's from forum members who wanted these caps. Due to a lump of stainless steel material price, manufacturing price and delivery to UK the total price went a little bit high.

I'm asking you guys to PM me for the price which is acceptable for you. I'll count how many of you want these caps, I will talk to manufacturer to lower the price and hope to make you all group buy deal for good price.

Similar issue as Jee, did soup test and found leaking from the blue connection. Now to strip and find a resolve. My only concern is how do you get the pipes off? Don't want to pull too hard and break something.

Used the soap/sponge trouble shutting technology - yep confirmed by the bubbles.

Thinking of using the epoxy solution

any other solutions around?

Problem solved, and it has costed £3.45 + couple of hours!

Removed the dryer cap, 6 torx 30 screws, cleaned with warm water and soap, dried and then used a sand paper to create a 'key' inside the cap. Cleaned again, dried with wife's blow drier.

Mixed 2 table spoons of epoxy ( one of epoxy + one of hardener) i've bough the kit at wickes, then i poured inside the cap creating an extra layer inside.

I have left to dry on a warm place (on to of the plasma TV) for couple of hours and re-fitted it back, and et voila problem solved.

I reckon this will stay fixed for a number of years, as i have created a good "key" for the epoxy and hopefully some of epoxy fell into the hair crack, this will become one piece of rigid plastic.

I have to say thanks to both JeeZues and gruodiz, as you have helped me to save some £.
