Hi

Had the same fault msg.

While the compressor was on the car, it is really noisy when it operates.... Engine off and compressor off (not in operation i pressume since i dont hear i) i put soapy water on the dryer cover at the two pipings area - the blue and orange - and i definetely see there is a leak. Is it normal???? Compressor was not in operation...
I did the same test when compressor operates (noisy again) but i caanot be sure whether there's a leak...
Do i have the same problem??
Cheers

Ollram, you do have this problem if yellow light comes in instrument cluster and is written NORMAL HEIGHT ONLY, height change switch LEDs off. Even you spotted leakage in blue and orange connectors area, try to look a bit closer and you will see the crack which becomes bigger then air system pressure is higher.

I was quite time ago when I first time created the cover and during that time I have changed about 20 of them with happy customers after cheap fix compared to compressor change. Actually my last covers are modified at least for 3th time, cheaper and lighter material which is very similar to dryer cover (polyurethane or so), air connectors are different from the first time as well. But still there was one customer who wanted no to change the cover but all dryer because of his belief in engineers. I tried to order dryer at dealers but got the answer that they are no longer available for sale.

If that is true and dryers are no longer available I can have a bulk order to manufacture these covers at professionals. How many of you guys would like to have this complete kit including cover, pipes and connectors?

If there're more interesants I'll make a write up how to DIY this fixwith pictures Thumbs Up

It looks like I have the same problem.

In one of the answers to this search :
I found a link to a seller on ebay - landyair_original :

They have a replacement dryer cover :

It the description on ebay they remind you that the filter granules also get old:
"Worn air dryer cover and the components inside the air dryer! filters and deteriorated filtration granules unit can affect air output quite significantly"
So it might be better to get the whole kit :

Does anyone have experience with this/these kits and landyair?

Wish you luck to find the crack, otherwise it might be compressor fault.

Remove your compressors bottom cover and you will see which type is it. According to your build year it should be HITACHI.

Or take a picture of compressors lower plastic cover upload here or send it to me by email (email address in first post) and I will let you know. These covers are different shape for HITACHI and AMK compressors.

Gruodiz that is amazing work. I'm very impressed.

I have the same bubbles. They appear to be coming from the blue pipe inlet.

I have tried the overhaul kit prior to discovering the leak but was unable to get the air dryer apart due to badly corroded torx bolts! I did manage to do the rest of the overhaul, but had to butcher the clamp! It was a rather embarrassing McGyver fix including the use of a 4 inch Roundhead nail and a zip tie Embarassed I was in a hurry though and it was late!

The rear of the car seems to lift normally, but the front is very slow. Would this symptom point towards this leak? I am resigned to the fact that I need a new compressor, but am I possible going to have more issues after its replacement. I am driving to Italy in 9 days and only have 2 days off between now and then!

Hi
Had the same fault last week
After clearing the fault all went well again.
Will check the pipes.
But just to know if they are leaking
Do you still have the replacement kit?

Best Regards

Charles
