T-tracks
Does anyone know if the Thule T-track is the same size as the LR T-track roof rails? I need a couple of anchor points like these but would just like to attach them to the integral LR roof rails rather than buy roof bars. I can't find the spec anywhere, not even here.
Before you ask, it is to anchor tensioning straps to a tow-ball bike carrier without putting metal plates on the paintwork round the hinge-side of the top tailgate.
Other (polite!) suggestions welcome!Andrew

Thule T-track accesssories fit on standard roof cross bars, i think the standard roof bars are made by Thule under licence from LR.
The eye bolts you want to use should fit fine, i might get some as well to give somewhere to tie the kayak onto!

I don't want to attach the eyebolts to the cross bars. I want to attach them to the roof rails. So I need Thule T-tracks to be the same dimensions as the LR roof rail T-tracks.Andrew

In which case you are out of luck with those Thule ones, the roof rails are much bigger.
It might be worth experimenting with different size nuts & bolts in the rail to see if you can fashion something to fit (maybe using some cycle inner tube cut down to size to proivide some grip to stop it moving), the track on most roof systems seems to be fairly standard, so you might struggle to sort a solution unless you fabricate/design it yourself!

No probs
Thanks for the clear reply that they are not the same size; that's exactly what I wanted to find out before wasting a tenner Andrew
