No. Not using those. Are they good?

What are the 3 cutouts for ? Are they used on the LR ?

The three cut outs engage with the bolt heads on the viscous thing behind the fan so you can hold it while undoing the fan.

I made my own one, it bent Mr. Green
At that price I bought the proper ones as I am bound to need them at some time.

The first one of these I did was a shocker. Unbelievably tight and the bespoke tool was written-off during the fight. Shocked

The tool I was missing was a hammer Yawn

Note to self: the spanner does move to the passenger side.

Thread resurrection.. .sorry.

Standing from the front of the vehicle which way does the 36 mm nut undo?
Clockwise or anticlockwise?

Clockwise, quick hit with a dead blow mallet on the spanner should loosen it.πŸ‘

Well I disagree - My D4 has a standard clockwise thread and require a standard anticlockwise crack to undo. Eg I use a cold chisel and mallet on the left hand side of the top of the nut to free it.

Ignore me. Went outside and checked and I was wrong. Sorry. It’s clockwise to undo. I checked the marks on the right side of the fan nut

Next you will be telling us that it is winter in July and your water spins down the drain the other way.

Did you get sorted? I have the spanners if you are struggling.
Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
