2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3
TDV6 Question

Hey everyone,

All going well, I should be the proud owner of a TDV6 HSE Auto Zam Silver on Wednesday.

It was registered April 2005, will it be a 2005 or 2006 model year?

I guess I may have to wait till I get the V5 to find out?

It looks great and appears to be fully loaded.

I have had a couple of TD5s but this will be the first D3.

As for your new car - best you can hope for is an 05MY if it was registered in April. The 07MY cars are not out yet - but they are close....

Just check the VIN.

Here's how to read your VIN:

SAL = Land Rover UK
LA = D3
A = Standard
A = 4 Door Standard
Next Digit = 1, 4 or 5 (1 Diesel, 4 4.0, 5 4.4)
Next Digit = 3,4,7 or 8 (3 RHD auto, 4 LHD auto, 7 RHD man, 8 LHD man)
Next Digit = 5,6,7 etc (2005, 2006, 2007 etc Model Year)
A = Made in Solihull
Final six digits = unique vehicle number, ascending

Getting car this week

Hi Everyone Smile

I am getting the D3 this week Smile

I asked the LR Dealer it is a 2005 year model Very Happy

Was there much difference between 2004 model?

Am I correct in thinking I should ask the dealer if the enhancement and other work, e.g. rear door strutts has been carried out?

Had three from there starting in '96 and then saw the light........ Two more elsewhere before finding Lakeland for the D3 Razz
