Very tempted to buy a d4
Well, since i sold the d3, I've missed it every day, Im seriously considering buying a d4 xxv or a hse luxury.
I am put off tho, its a head heart thing and I'm in turmoil. I can't help thinking that an xc90 would be better but I'm drawn to the d4.
My current evoque is the best landrover product I've owned in terms of build and reliability. The d2 was poor, the defender a mad love hate car, the d3 good but a pain, d4 was brief and very similar to the d3, vogue se i hated from day 1.
But i still lurk in the forum, trawl ebay and auto trader looking for a d4.
It must be madness!
SteveYou remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

Whilst I like my D4, there’s not the same attachment that I had with my D3. Maybe coz I went on many, many more adventures with my D3, and I did really enjoy taking the D4 to N Norway this year, so it might grew on me.

I’m going to help you (not!) by saying that the XC90 is quite comfortable... still, if I had to choose one I’d take the D4 of the two even if the Volvo is more economical, probably better build quality, better ICE, probably cheaper to maintain and service in the long run, etc.
(I’ve had a D4 TDV6, now have a D3 V8 and have had a large number of Volvos)

And now there are the increasing numbers of bearing/crank failures, that seem to be building in numbers.
