Not on my Disco, but had it done on my VW T4 years back, bloody terrible decision, had no problems whatsoever with it for 5-6 years previous to having it 'terracleaned' but as soon as it was done I had no end of issues, the first within a few days was with the injector seals.

I haven’t had it done on the D4 as I can’t find a company that has experience of carrying it out on this model (don’t want a technician practicing on my car thank you very much).
I have had my Audi (diesel), Discovery 1 (diesel), MR2 (petrol) and TR7V8 (petrol) cleaned without problems. A great improvement in emissions on all three made the expenditure worth it.

No, dont. These 'clean the engine with a can of spray' or 'tip some water in to clean the engine' fads are all BS. Richard

As with all these things, if you have a monkey wielding the spanner’s you will have trouble. However, with a good technician this service is good- the data bears it out:
Prior to terra clean CO was 0.111, HC was 17 at fast idle and afterwards it was 0.001 CO and HC was 15.
Many people have an opinion but always ask for facts

I had my old Hilux Surf Terra cleaned, engine was smoother, previous owner (step father) commented when he borrowed it and he didn't know I had done it. And I recorded marginal increase MPG. Not sure it was 'worth it' though.
OP mentioned an EGR clean though. As far as I'm aware, this is not part of a 'Terraclean' it would be separate process to clean the EGR. Personally would not let the same people near my LR as I would near the Surf.

Wouldn't bother
I did a Diesel engine course at Peueot a few years ago and the instructor said and quote
"if you want to keep these in good fettle check all levels etc get it up to normal temp then give it a good spanking , no need for any of these fancy fluids or treatments all they need is the crap blowing out of them now and again "

I considered having this done on my 5 series BMW a few years ago. Very nearly booked it but decided against it. Very glad I did, not because of anything to do with terra clean, but because a month later a cam chain tensioner failed and threw the cam chain. I almost certainly would have pointed the finger at the terraclean had I had it done!
