Test drive & what to check?

Finally got to the point of viewing and test drive. What should I be checking on the drive or even before going out it it?

I have been sent copies of work done on vehicle belts done only question is about oil pump not sure if able to remove covers to check if stronger type it's a late D3 have a Hawkeye diagnostic tool so can check for active faults. Any advice you can give me appreciate as trying my best to check it is a good one Question This would be my first D3 as upgrading from a D2.

If your D2 is going well I would keep it!

I don't think you will be able to check the oil pump.


U looking at an auto or manual ?

Millage?

The reason for the change more power for towing tintent looking at an auto 130k Geoff has done a flush on transmission.

hi/lo transfer box switches cleanly with no thunks/creaks etc.

HDC works without any drama

gear changes smooth

no signs of fluid leaks

panels all straight - gaps round doors all even.

drop the access panel for towbar electrics. no serious rust (don't think it will ever be rust free)
