Hello
I'm sure I know the answers but lets see
So I bought my D3 nearly a year ago, its been amazing and tows like a train
However (I'm learning this is something thats often said with Land Rovers!), I have had a couple of issues, its an 09 plate so kind of expected some bits.
Had the rev fluctuation, Dr Tranny sorted this, then recently lagging to change gear, changed gearbox oil and seems ok now
Got an EGR issue, wondered if this doesn't help with the lagging changing gear? Going to try the cleaner spray for a bit otherwise I'm looking at my options
Had to change the rear prop as the centre bearings rubber was non existent, had vibrations
Enjoying a trip in it the other day and mentioned to my friend how amazing it was feeling then suddenly more vibrations! Passenger side front wheel very hot so guessing sticking calliper. The vibrations getting worse and even a short trips making it hot. Is this a new calliper or is there something else?
And lets not talk about the cold start issue today ha ha
Thanks for reading and thanks for any advice

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you’ve hit the jackpot there
It would help enormously for us to provide answers if you fill in the profile section which then fully describes your vehicle
Rev fluctuations can be cured using DrTranny as a temporary measure but also think about a gearbox flush (Megaflush), depending on mileage this could keep you going for a while but as you tow it may be that you will be looking to get the torque converter replaced sooner rather than later
Hot wheel definitely sounds like a sticking caliper, change for a new one, you can free off the old ones but for £35 it’s hardly worth the bother, also check that the disc hasn’t warped or distorted due to the heat.
Cold start issue is likely to be glow plugs, plenty of contradictory advice on here as a quick fix get a remote control for your FBH but long term it’s probably best to get the plugs changed (save up first!)
And finally get yourself a good code reader and learn how to use it.. it will pay for itself very quickly ! Use the search function above as I can’t think of many questions that haven’t been asked before and enjoy I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
