This may Shock You
I have just learnt today that a guy placed 22" wheels on his Range Rover Vogue, which was about 2 months old. The suspension leg (Delphi) air bag became defective and LR refused to supply the new leg and air kit under warranty because the tyre on the wheel was too hard and was instrumental in causing damage to the suspension.
Now, what have I said about the wrong wheels guys!
I cannot confirm the details, as it is hearsay, but the source was more than reliable.
This is very much in line with the seat problem I have. Only I have been to LR and they are authorising the mods, so my warranty is safe. Don't put anything on that could give them an excuse. We are not dealing with the old faithfull Land Rover, but Ford, litigation, litigation and denial all the way.
Be warned please.

1). it was a RR....
2). don't 'bling it up' - whatever that means

PIP, it should not concern anyone who uses the vehicle for what it was made. Putting these wheels on takes it out of its design perameters, hence the decision by LR.

This has been happening for years in North America. I was actually told by a service advisor that my "oversized tires" caused my rear wiper to fall off my (then) 8 month old Disco II.
I subsequently convinced him of the idiocy of the statement... But the writing is on the wall.'05 LR3 HSE

Well today I should have received 2 calls or e.mails from our local dealers but alas they do not want my money( unlike the accountant).
You name a dealer and it's have wheels will travel ,just bear in mind they don't float in a force 10.

Brian: No I am not shocked at all. What I find truly amazing is that people completely ignore some of the very important information that is provided to them with a new car; not least, the instruction manual......
More importantly, the warranty information is clearly stated, and excludes cover where:
• Alterations of the vehicle from Land Rovers original specification
For the avoidance of any doubt, and in case anyone is thinking of doing a spot of blinging, note the following:
Land Rover is not responsible for any repair or replacement that is required as a direct result of:
• Normal wear and tear
• Failure to properly maintain the vehicle in accordance with Land Rovers
maintenance schedules and service instructions
• Refilling or topping-up with incorrect fuel e.g. petrol used instead of diesel
• Use of bio-diesel or bio-ethanol alternative fuels in concentrations that exceed 5%
• Failure to use Land Rover specified parts or fluids (or parts of equivalent quality)
• Damage resulting from neglect, accident, or improper use
• Unauthorised modifications of the vehicle or parts (modifications outside of Land Rover specifications)
• Defects caused as a result of the vehicle being used in motorsport events or for any other purpose than normal, private or commercial use

This is exactly what I have been saying about certain tyres and wheels for ages. Don't do it, unless it is within the spec. or authorised by LR.
Some 22" tyres have a 106 rating, which means they can carry 950kg and the rear axle weight of the D3 is 1875kg. The 950x2 = 1900kg, leaving a margin of 25kg ONE DIY BAG OF CEMENT dodgy
