throttle body o rings

got a small amount of oil misting coming from one of the two seals that are on the throttle body connecting to the inlet manifolds i have looked around for replacement o rings but most seem to be chinese copies has anyone used these to confirm if they will last and fit and can anyone confirm whether the part just pulls out (after removing the bolts) from the manifolds and if so are they a struggle to get out thanks for any replies please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

I used these o-rings and seals from Advanced Factors, when I replaced them in April last year, and have no misting at all to date.

If memory serves me correctly, yes it just pulls out. I think one "tube" is longer than the other so will only come out one way. Bit of a fiddle in the beginning but will just come out.

I just bought this set of 3 o-rings for £11.50 delivered. We shall see what arrives!
After blanking the EGRs the other night I realised how bad my originals were.

They need to be engine oil, temp and aliphatic hydrocarbons resistant..
NBR (or FKM/viton) 70 shore is best for use engines…
80 shore is to dense for engine seals, but for aircon FKM/Viton 80 shore is the appropriate 0-ring
Chinese crap directly from china/ali is best to be avoided (they even do not even bother to state what material they are made off! (EPDM,NBR or even FKM))Best regards

Plus 1 with regards to what @motolab above has said with regards to quality , first time I tried some cheap O rings and found after a little while they started to leak , then bought some from advanced and no more issues
Also on reinstallation I used some plumbers clear silicone grease which aided the large Y piece to go back in without pushing the large O rings out
If u don’t mind me also adding plse be very careful where the egr pipes connect to the throttle body as it can also leak from here , I blanked mine at the engine block , leaving the egr pipes in situ for the mot inspection
Hope all goes well

On reflection, maybe you are right. I'll see how I get on. I was influenced because I still haven't forgiven AF for selling me a landfill lower steering column.

Hi,
yes,
Clive of CDS has just replaced a set of glow plugs for me and when he removed the TB 1 of the O rings was out of shape, it must have been squeezed out of shape when fitted in the past
had no issues but had not been sealing correctly,
just make sure it sits into the groove well when you put the new one on. it looked to be a bit of a square section type O ring, as I was only watching
