Nice to know it isn't just me!
It is definitely there all the time with mine, though it might just be my driving style that makes it more noticeable, as I tend to decelerate in plenty of time before junctions as not use the brakes too much if you see what I mean?
It is in the last 20 - 30 yrds that you notice it the most.

As I said it isn't a serious problem, I was just curious to know if that was how LR had got around the lag issue. I certainly don't notice any lag in normal driving.

For the benefit of any of you that were following this thread, I finally got around to fitting the EGR blanking plates the other day.

The car was in for the current recalls and I asked them check out the throttle delay issue again at the same time, again they said there was nothing really wrong with it and the effect I was experiencing was normal!!

Once back home I duly fitted the blanks and removed the butterfly valve vane. I was amazed at the amount of black oily crud that had accumulated in the intake "Y" piece so maybe it's worth doing the mod just to eliminate that.

I have to say there is not a huge difference in the performance; the delay is still there albeit a little less, I guess it's mainly down to the VVT action as TFC says, the next step will be to go down the "Torq-Tune" route once funds allow.
