just to place the feline amongst the columbidae, I have been using a Numax 'connect and forget' 10AMP charger for a 'project' and it appears to work very well, has an LCD display, a metal body and cooling fan which helps with the operating temp - I have the MXS 7 and it gets noticeably warm when charging - and the Numax equivalents are cheaper, so worth a look Thumbs Up

The absence of a fan and use of the Ctek body as a heat-sink is supposed to be a plus point. It helps achieve the IP rating that allows you to leave the Ctek out in the rain.

The Numax have a good following in the tin tent community but they do not seem to like a number of AGM batteries at all.

I've been asked by a number if you can use the Ctek 25 amp via the tow electrics - the answer is no as it can deliver more power than the wiring can take. This is also why the unit does not come with or provision for Ctek's comfort leads.

Hope this helps!
