Timed climate - low power warnings - Possible cure
Once again the timed climate not working, low power warnings coming up after a couple of mins activation, even after a full battery recharge.
Having had a cycle of working, not working, then working etc it all seems to relate to the fact the battery has been discharged, due to ccf edits, doors left open etc. Even a full c-tek recharge through tow sockets would not cure.
So following Disco4man's instructions on a hard battery reset http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic72318.h...p;start=15 found there was a 2 volt reading when disconnecting the + red battery terminal and measuring with the neg battery terminal. Shorted this out as described, reading was then 0.7 volts.
Anyway this morning she fired up and had a full 22 mins activation, cabin nice and toasty and no low power warnings at all.
The only effects from doing this was having to reset the date and time, everything else remained intact.

Follow the wiki for hard reset and not the way described in the linked post above.

Gonna give this try tomorrow as I'm having the same TC issues. Gonna be a busy day:
1. New set of alloys and GGs going on in the morning
2. Hard reset
3. Greased Lightening

Just remember that on the LATER D4's there are TWO batteries, (A smaller one in the Aux battery area) so be careful what you are shorting out!Bodsys Brake Bible

I think he meant the ones with Start/Stop function. These are always fitted with two batteries.Cheers Patrick from Munich

All seems well, another test this morning after covering only 25 miles yesterday, saw the FBH fire up for the full time with no low power warnings D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
