Tinted Windows
Hi,
I purchased a Brand New 06 Disco 3 last year, and recently I have seen lots of Disco's with the rear tinted windows done (the 5 rear 1s). I was wondering can I get them tinted now from Land Rover? and how is it done?
Many Thanks

Yes you can get the dealer to do it - but it will cost.
They apply a film to the windows which darkens them out. Some people on here have aftermarket tints and say they're good - but you don't have to go with the dealer - shop around and you may get a better deal.

Can't speak highly enough of this bloke. Several local dealers use him for their tinting. Got workshops in South Leicestershire just of M69 and Birmingham just behind th forte shopping centre http://www.midlandtinting.com/ He gets lots of work from other tinting companies that can't do complex multi-way curves. Was doing a Ferarri before mine !

Contact J V Like they are a dealer nr Hay on Wye, they charge about £280.
WOW £280 for the proper Land Rover product? I was expecting £500-£1000
it wont be a landrover product! they will subcontract the job to a local fitter and stick a premium on top. best advice is to find your own specialist and save some cash.Gone.......but not forgotten
I think I just said that . . . . "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Although perhaps a better product guarantee fallback with a dealer IMHO...especially like Likes . £280 is as competitive as it gets 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
I know what you mean, but if you trust the local guy who would be doing the job for the dealer anyway . . . .
Ben at Midland, has a massive business doing vehicle wraps for national and international businesses so like many others I guess he is staying around for a while.
£250 is competative, with a 3M lifetime guarantee "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

I'm sure your chap does a smashing job too 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
But I was trying to demonstrate that any good business will have just as much comeback as dealing with a Land Rover dealership. Who will deal with the company on your behalf.
I guess i'm saying pay them a visit, if it's a two bob bit place with a bloke working in a smelly lock-up with a fag on the go - walk away !!"To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

For the record J V Likes wont take a cut you pay the guy direct. You take your car to them and the tinter man does the job. Its to a very high standard, The same Chap has done The Blue Pearl, Marie's Mazda RX8, CarlS 110 Crew Cab, CraigS TD5 Disco. I only mentioned this chap because he lives close to USK. He will do the job at your place if you have a suitable building.
billie I have sent you a pm with the guys details. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
