Fair go Cat, this is a family show.

BTW, congrats on your purchase, she looks superb!

Leigh

(Apologies: Off Topic) You know, Cat, you got me thinking (and someone else's suggestion about a calendar) maybe we should have a competition for photography of a D3/LR3 and the best 12 get to be in a calendar with proceeds of sales going to Martin's site support fund. What do others think? - start a separate thread if you wish to comment.

I wasn't too sure about that white, Cat, but now I see it, it looks great! Congratulations Very Happy
Who was the salesman you dealt with at BF? Adrian was the guy I bought from and so far he and the service staff have been first-class. Totally different experience to my previous dealing with their sister dealership Rolling Eyes

I dealt with Michael, nice guy. asked for some mats to be kept aside but he forgot but they shipped them up Monday with no fuss. I'm happy with their service so far.

thats why it's in fine print Wink
love the idea of a calendar, start a new thread and list conditions and see who's up for it (have a poll)

yeh. was a bit concerned about drab white but it's a true white and not creamy like other brands and travelling under street lights make it dazzle 8)
and it must be pronounced Chawwwwwton white Laughing

Cat, it always pays to read the fine print... esp on this forum.

CW, looks really good. Thumbs Up

Definately worth the wait, not much dust (which is just very dry mud!!) on it yet but that will no doubt soon be rectified. It does look really nice in white, I've never seen one in the UK. What is this about reading the manual, that takes half the fun out of the ownership experience (I hate that phrase BTW)
That firewood, was that for just the weekend, if so the hotspot would have been visible from the ISS! Shocked

Derek, good to see your back from hols. how was it, did you get withdrawal symptoms Laughing yes, definitely worth the wait, just a pity her indoors gets to drive it daily but I steal it at night and on the weekends Very Happy
fire wood was for the weekend but just native pine so it burns quick, as for reading the manual, I have to know what I'm showingoff to the lads. got some dust on it the first night. went bush bashing in the scrub just out of town and some scratches too, then collected the wood the next day Very Happy
don't know what pics you have seen but here are some from my first trip away (softroading really, although there were a few rocky sections) which I have no pics of Crying or Very sad

Hi CW, hols were good, lots of walking hounds around local Lochs (we Scots don't know how to spell lakes). Nothing compared to the countryside around your place. Wooooooooooooooow!!!!!

Anyone noticed that if you zoom in on Mrs W, she had a mad "this is my car, paws off" glint in her eye??? Looks really good softroading, not a person or house in sight & lots of lovely scenery. At the risk of upsetting a few ex-colonials, why did we send our crims there? It is far too god for them. Our ancesters should have gone & left the crims & politicos to GB where it is going to the dogs anyway!!!

Ah well back to work, more demonic chemistry to try & understand (or sound like I do).

Derek

I think it's a 'thank god that dic**ead's out of the car look she sometimes gives me. if she knew how to operate the camera, she wouldn't have been there Laughing

I'm one of the few Scots that can't stand the stuff! Now wine, that's a different matter! If I'm ever down there, I'll gie you a shout. Unfortunately wife does not want to put mutts in kennels (working on that though). If you're ever up in this part of the world, give us a shout & I'll show you the best we have to offer, might be a short trip though!
