Best advice in here in a long time Simon, yep cruise control maybe 1 or 2mph more than limit, and glide by hassle free.

Oh you have followed him too ALTERNATIVES...............No alternatives for off-road capability.
If you want Surrey plush, go for a Range Rover. If you want Manchester bling it's the Range Rover Sport. But if it's a seven-seat, go anywhere 4x4, it's time to Disco.

Then there's the morons that get letters asking for money coz they can't understand to concept of 'average' speed
I find sitting dead on the limit in the outside lane is best, seem to get a pretty clear road through the roadworks that way The End

Nah - people who can't breathe without instructions keep me in the fashion my wife has become used to "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Issue for me is not about discipline through specs, its about the added time to journey. It was 8pm at night the roads were very quiet. I was comfortable doing about 75-80 but 70 miles of the journey are at 50mph.
My maths is ropey but isn't 70 miles @ 80 mph = 52 minutes?
70 miles @ 50mph = 84 minutes
So the journey took an extra 32 minutes, thats the bit that annoys me.

Ken,
You're not still driving around with that Wookie mask on are you??
Could you imagine the reaction if you did..... That would confuse the poor fookers...Not that it takes much anyway. Regards, Trev.
