Top Speed

Just done a return trip to the alps up and down the German autobahns.

I have done this trip in various vehicles but this time was by far the best in terms of both comfort and performance.

We cruised at 100-110mph, and even when slowed down on hills by slower traffic the 3.0 D4 has the power to quickly get back up to speed. Loaded with ski and holiday gear it still pulled away from some of the standard bm/audi saloons.

I had a couple of go's at the restricted top speed. I had the trip computer set to km's as the speedo does not have a km scale.

Top speed..........

I got to 191km/hr (119mph) before the restriction cut in.

Don't get me wrong this was plenty, but it still has plenty to go.

It is just such a comfortable vehicle to cover a big distance without stress. Thumbs Up

Your calibrated speed is still very likely to have been no higher than 112mph tbh.

On our little island those speeds would get your car impounded. You would loose your license and get a huge fine.

But then again most Australians have trouble controlling cars at half that speed. Shocked
