D3 tdv6 suspension fault c1a05 and c1a74
Hi guys. I’m chasing a suspension fault. I randomly get the amber warning but sometimes the red light comes up. They both disappear if I keep driving or switch off/on.
I cleared the dtc’s but had the above codes pop up. Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between the sensor mechanism and just the sensor. I watched the height reading from the sensor and it’s jumping around quite a bit (+10 to -144mm).
I just want to make sure I replace the correct part.
Cheers

The mechanism is the mechanical linkage arm from the sensor to the body. They can become soft or wear excessively. It comes with the new sensor, bear in mind recalibration will be needed which your iCarsoft will not be able to do.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Could also be a connector with a broken wire at the sensor

Hi does the calibration have to be done post sensor replacement for the fault to go away.
have replaced the nsr sensor and linkage but still get the same fault no obvious damage to the wiring.

Did you clear the fault? Calibration is post sensor but if the fault is no rectified and cleared no calibration can be performed.
Edit: Check carefully the wiring in the two large black terminal blocks behind the nsr strut which sit on the chassis rail. Common area for damage and fatigue. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
