Speed warning option

Feeling my way through the car menu systems I came across Speed Warning activated /not activated ( tick option)

What is this?

When activated ....It didn't seem to do anything or 'show' anything. Tried exceeding the road speed limit and it didn't stop me (lol)

You can set the speed and it will ping once when exceeded and display a silly message on the dash. Rolling Eyes

I can't remember exactly but the default speed limit is set to 143mph I think so if you have activated this but not reduced the speed nothing will beep at you unless you are in Germany autobahn Wink

Ok...thats a shame it isn't more functional.

My garmin sat nav displays speed, which goes red if exceeding the road limit, which is very useful in Europe....but no ding!

Pity the LR onboard sat nav is so wanting.

Have my one set to 75mph, just to remind me that i'm over the speed limit. I hear it a lot ever since I got Gary at Alive to do his magic on my D3. Laughing Laughing

On mine in the manual (book) it reads that it's used for setting speed on winter tires or that's when it's mostly used here.
I had mine set for 50km when SWMBO borrowed mine for a week Snigger , didn't take long after I got it back to turn the settings off Rolling with laughter
