Sat nav update

Just acquired a Disco 4 and find that unlike stand alone Garmin sat navs the on board sat nav doesn't display a road speed....or am I missing a configuration setting?

Also...how does one update the maps?

Just tracked across several fields in France....that have been roads for 2years!!! Very Happy

If it's the same as in Oz then you buy an expensive disc. There's a long thread about nav here Thumbs Up

Thanks...sounds like a lost cause.

I also find it odd that the software doesn't offer Supermarkets in the poi. Instead it just shows 'Shopping Centres' which is an antiquated category and useless when trying to find the nearest Auchan, Carrefour or Intermarche supermarket in France (for example)

I have resorted to looking up fuel stations as theses supermarkets invariably have fuel...but it's a weird contortion that with my Garmin I don't need to do. sigh

I used the sat nav in the d4 for about 10 minutes and decided it was as bad as the crap nav man I had 15 years ago. Tom Tom with live back on the dash. I use the screen more for flicking through the radio and using the phone.
