Replacing coolant water sender

how do you replace the low coolant sender Question .the one I have bought has no thread on it,does it just push in.Can you get to jt by removing the nearside headlight.

yes it just pushes in.

Probably need to lift tank up and remove headlight.

be warned it is usually the float which is part of the tank at fault

£25 on ebay for a new tank

It's worth having a look around on the forum..

Why are you replacing the sender? The most likely cause is the float in the tank has become saturated and sinks intermittently causing the low coolant light to come on.

Its worth just replacing the tank, they're around £35 from Advance Factors (Forum Sponsor) and comes with a Sender..

Part number is LR020367
